What: Hike with the C.A.R.E. Doggies
When: 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, March 7.
Where: Gateway Trail, 807 S. Battleground Ave., Kings Mountain, NC.
More Info: Enjoy a hike with one of our rescue dogs. Afterward, stick around to relax, socialize, and enjoy time with fellow dog lovers, both two‑legged and four‑legged!
Each month, we'll share a "SignUpGenius" so you can choose the energy level and size of dog that fits you best. The Gateway Trail is perfect for everyone, offering paths for beginner to advanced hikers, your choice!
It's a fun, meaningful way to spend a Saturday morning, get some exercise, and make a huge difference in a dog's life. Spring Is Almost Here, Let's Hit the Trails! The first Saturday of every month.

More Info: Come and join us for a program by Mike Carpenter. He will be telling us about archaeology excavation at the Berry site in Burke County, also town Creek Indian Mound. He will be telling us about Spanish exploration in North Carolina, discover and excavation of a Spanish settlement. He is with the Joara Foundation. Come spend time with us and enjoy history. Community is welcome.

What: St. Pawty's Day Parade and Blocktail Party

More Info: We are so excited that it is once again time for the St. Pawty's Day Parade and Blocktail Party. We hope you can make it to the event. St. Pawty's Parade starts at 4:00 pm. Foothills Quilters Guild: Foothills Quilters Guild invites you to join us each month on the third Thursday at the Ascension Lutheran Church, 300 N. Lafayette St. in Shelby, NC. We welcome new members young and old to learn and share in the talents and knowledge of the art of Quilting. Our doors are open at 10am for open sew day. Bring your machine and any project to work on or join in on the mystery Block of the Month or other fun activities throughout the day. Our meeting begins at 7pm with demonstrations and programs from area speakers followed by show and tell, door prizes and other meeting content. Call 803-370-0357 for more information.

Nar-Anon Support Group: Meets 6:30 pm weekly on Tuesdays at the First Baptist Church, 120 N. Lafayette St., Shelby, NC. Nar-Anon is a support group for those affected by someone else's drug addiction. We meet in the classroom off Dale St. between Sumter & Campbell St. Park on the side of the church or in the alley. Al-Anon Support Groups: Al-Anon Family Support Groups support those who are affected by someone else's drinking and drug use.
