Frances Lee Goins Brackett

Frances Lee Goins Brackett, known affectionately as Frances, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024, in Cleveland County. She was born on April 8, 1946, in Lincoln County and left this world leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Frances was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, J.C. Brackett, her son Jimmy Jones, and her parents Gene Cloninger and Essie Sparks. She is survived by her loving family: two sons, Danny Jones and his wife Lucille, Billy Jones and his wife Trish; two daughters, Wanda Swink and her husband Jerry, Dottie Vaughn and her husband Tony; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy and pride.

A funeral service to remember the life of Frances will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Morris Memorial Baptist Church, with the Rev. Chris Emory officiating. Interment will follow immediately in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends for 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Wednesday evening at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home in Fallston.

Throughout her life, Frances was the epitome of love, kindness, and generosity. Her warm smile and caring nature made her a friend to many. She spent her working years as a spinner at Milliken Cotton Mills, where she was not only valued for her hard work but also for her ability to brighten the days of her colleagues with her cheerful disposition.

Frances's life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family and friends. She was the cornerstone of family gatherings, her home always a welcoming place filled with laughter and love. Her ability to listen and offer wise counsel made her a confidante to many. Frances's love extended beyond her family to the community where she was an active and cherished member.

Her absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Frances's legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched. As we say farewell to Frances Lee Goins Brackett, we celebrate a life well-lived and a woman dearly loved. Her memory will forever be a guiding light to her family and all who cherished her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers and friends who supported Frances during her final days. Her spirit, characterized by grace and resilience, remained strong until the end.

As we lay Frances to rest, we hold tight to the memories that comfort us and the knowledge that she is now at peace. Her life's journey was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family bonds. May we all aspire to carry forward the kindness she exemplified in her daily life.
