Frances Virginia Reynolds, of Cherryville, NC, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Atrium Health in Shelby.

She is survived by her children, James N. Reynolds of Cherryville, NC, Timothy Reynolds of Kings Mountain, NC, Rebecca Waters of Gastonia, NC, and Precilla Wooten of Gastonia, NC, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born January 13, 1937, in Tallassee, Alabama, Frances was the daughter of the late Robert Freddie Short and Luttie Ursula Hutchens and was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred N. Reynolds, Sr., eleven siblings, two stepsons, Alfred Reynolds, Jr., and William "Bill" Reynolds, a stepdaughter, Melody Ann, a daughter-in-law, Gail Ramsey Reynolds, and a son-in-law, Michael A. Wooten.

Frances was a faithful member of Christ the King Church in Shelby for more than 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. Frances enjoyed working puzzle books and spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

A visitation will be held from 4:00pm - 5:00pm Friday, September 13, 2024, at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. A graveside service will follow at El Bethel UMC in Kings Mountain conducted by Rev. Bud Black.
