Frank Erwin "Jack" Cantrell III, 79, died Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at his home.

He was the son of the late Frank Cantrell Jr. and Bettie Barnhart Cantrell. Jack served his Country honorably in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the trucking industry and was a long time member of Zoar Baptist Church. He was an avid sports fan who loved his family and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sharon Cantrell of the home; daughter, Jennifer Park and husband Tony of Shelby; son, Sean Cantrell and wife Jill of Shelby; sisters, Kim Tesseneer of Patterson Springs, Diana Parker and husband Dennis of Shelby; brother, Harry Cantrell and wife Kim of Shelby; grandchildren, Christy Justice and husband Alan, Nicole Blanton, Christopher Ashworth and girlfriend Stephanie, Kyleigh Ashworth, and Zachary Park; great grandchildren, Sophie, Jaymes, Delilah, and Caroline; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jon Jones officiating.
