Gail Russell Traywick, age 75, of Shelby, North Carolina, passed away on June 20, 2025.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Morris Richard Russell Sr. and Elsie Odum Russell, as well as her brother, Morris "Buddy" Richard Russell Jr.

She is survived by her son, Brian Morgan of Hilton Head; her daughter, Stori McIntyre and husband John of Shelby; and her grandson, Keegan McIntyre. She is also survived by her brother, Tommy Russell of Charleston; her former husband, Greg Traywick of Shelby; and her beloved dog, Toby.

Gail was a retired homemaker who found deep joy in the simple pleasures of life--especially in the company of animals, whom she adored. Her love for all furry creatures was well known and always present.


The family will celebrate Gail's life privately.
