George Henry Card, of Blacksburg, SC, left this Earth after a brief, but difficult illness. A fighter until the end. George passed away Friday, February 9, 2024; at the age of 46.
George was born on July 27, 1977 in Oil City, PA to the late William Charles Card and Georgena Everett. George will be remembered for his love of tinkering, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. George spent the last few years working in Florida and the islands with yachts and barges, living his best life.
Over the last 9 months he spent time with his family and close friends and even his grand-daughter.
George is survived by his mother Georgena Everett (Calvin), his brothers Charles Card (Tamie) and Piper Card (JoAnn), son Ryan Card, daughters Brittany and Charity Card, a grand-daughter Hailey Grace Card, as well as 3 nephews William, Alex and Eli Card. George also leaves behind 3 special friends Henry Fiedorczyk, Tim Coggins, and Chris Owens, as well as a number of extended family and friends.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Cambareri and his staff at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Center Institute in Shelby, NC; Nikki Helton at Agape Care group; as well as Hospice of the Carolina Foothills for the care given to George through his journey.
