Gerald "Jerry" Williams, 77, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at W.G. "Bill" Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury

Jerry was born on December 31, 1943 in Indiana son of the late Homer Williams and Ada Eaton Williams. He was owner and operator of JW Welding in Dallas and was a member of In Christ Ministries of Bessemer City. Jerry served in the U. S. Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Monika Fehring Williams; a daughter, Rhonda Whitlock and three grandchildren, Heather Jade, Joshua Corbin and Adam Williams.

Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Chavis of Marietta, GA; Melody Etherton and husband Micheal of Crouse; a son, Jerry Williams, II and wife Lisa of Clayton; two sisters, Shirley Smith of Tampa, Florida and Carol Selby of Indiana; 10 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, Laylah. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the home.

Services and burial will be private.
