Gladys Martin Fulbright, 87, of Vale, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at
Trinity Ridge in Hickory.

Born in Lincoln County on March 19, 1931, she was a daughter of the late
Freeman and Georgia Craig Martin. Gladys was a lifetime member of Mt.
Vernon Baptist Church and retired from CR Laine with over fifty years of
service.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Victor
Fulbright; son-in-law, Kenneth Harold Lackey; two sisters, Murriel Hallman
and Irene Brendle; and a brother, Billy Martin.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joie and Judy Fulbright of
Conover; a daughter, Darlene Lackey of Vale; a grandson and
granddaughter-in-law, Chris and Tammy Fulbright of Conover; a granddaughter,
Jenny Lackey of Vale; a great granddaughter, Abby Fulbright; and a
sister-in-law, Gail Martin.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Mt.
Vernon Baptist Church, Vale.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday at 3:00 PM at Mt. Vernon Baptist
Church with the Rev. Lloyd King officiating.

The burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family ask for memorials to Gladys be given in random acts of kindness
to others.
