Glenda Kay Reinhardt Hammond, 82 of Shelby passed away on October 28, 2024 at Wendover Hospice House.

Glenda was born on September 7, 1942 in Catawba County, NC to the late Clarence Avery Reinhardt and Ada Bessie Jenkins Reinhardt. She was retired from Cleveland County Health Department as a nurse and she was also a private duty nurse for Buddy Guffey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Hammond; two brothers and three sisters.

Glenda is survived by her daughters, Teresa Martin of Shelby and Lisa Green of Shelby; significant other, Kenneth Dawkins of Shelby; a grandson, Caleb C. Martin and wife, Christa and three great grandchildren, Logan Jones, Jacob Martin, and Bailey Martin.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 1, 2024 form 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel in with officiating Rev. Jeff Clevenger officiating.

Burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
