Harold Broadus Dellinger, 72, of Shelby, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center, Shelby.

Born in Cleveland County, on April 27, 1951, he was a son of the late Harold B. Dellinger and Theo McSwain Dellinger. He was retired form Duke Energy as the Procurement Manager and was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon, Sunday School Superintendent and various other committees and Fallston Masonic Lodge where he was a pasted master.

He is survived by his wife of forty years, Diane Ledbetter Dellinger, a son, Zachary Dellinger and grandson Zander; a daughter, Carrie Anna Dellinger and fiancé Josh Bailey and grandson Sawyer; a brother Michael Dellinger and wife Lena and their children, Karen, Chris, and Josh and a special aunt Lillian Dellinger.

The celebration of life service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Buffalo Baptist Church with the Rev. Max Turner and Rev. Dustin Mace officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
