Hattie Dolletta Sanders Queen, 89, of Shelby, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Peak Resources, Shelby.

Born in Cleveland County, on April 12, 1932 , she was a daughter of the late Mack Roscoe Sanders and Clara Ruth Miller Sanders.

She was a retired inspector for Bernhardt Furniture Plant 19 in Shelby. Mrs. Queen was an active member of Knob Creek United Methodist Church where she had served in the hand bell choir, church choir, and Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Belwood Women's Society.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Hal Queen; two sons, Lamar Franklin Queen and Phillip David Queen; three brothers, Tom, Bob and Jim Sanders; and two sisters, Dorothy Richard and Gladys Philbeck.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all of Mrs. Queen's special caregivers through the years.

The graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Knob Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Brian Elwell and Dr. Cal Robertson officiating.
