Helen Ann Wright Fulbright, 79 of Smith Road, Vale, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Carolina Caring in Newton.

Born in Cleveland County, NC on January 9, 1944, she was the daughter of the late George A. Wright and Maudie Emogene Bumgardner Wright. Mrs. Fulbright was retired from Wrights Produce, Inc and was associated with Laurel Hill United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Alvin Smith and Ronald J. "Gene" Fulbright; son, Robert Alvin Smith and a brother, Sammy G. Wright.

Survivors include her daughter, Georgetta Smith Williams and husband, Dennis of Vale; a brother, Ray Wright and wife, Frances of Vale; grandson, Rodney Adam Martin and wife, Megan of Vale; great-grandchildren, Jordann, Kinely and soon to arrive, Lainey Ann; a special niece, Connie Wright Reavis and husband, Gary and special nephews, Jamie Wright, Sr. and wife, Julie, Franklin Fulbright and Timmy Fulbright.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11:00 am at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor Forrestene Sain officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Laurel Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
