Helen Annette Huss Sain, 86, of Fallston Road, Lawndale, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at White Oak Manor, Shelby.

Born in Cleveland County, on March 27, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Troy Lee Huss and Dollie Gantt Huss. Mrs. Sain was retired from Fallston Elementary School as a teacher assistant. She was an active member of St. Peters Methodist Church where she had been a member of the United Methodist Women and the Prayer Shawl Ministry. She and her husband loved spending time together square dancing and taking trips with Farm Bureau or serving in the Cleveland County Cattleman's Association. In the summer you could find Mrs. Sain in her garden where she would gather produce and then can it for family and friends. She found great pleasure in spending the weekends at the lake with her family.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Vince Bowman and brother-in-law, Bobby Alexander.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-seven years, Harry Edward Sain; three daughters, Annette Wright of Shelby, Roxanne Swafford and husband, Sandy of Lawndale and Christy Bowman of Lawndale; sister, Janet Alexander of Lawndale; four grandchildren, Levi Bowman and Hannah; Tyler Swafford and wife Candra; Jared Swafford and wife Anna and Lauren Turner and husband Scott; four great grandchildren, Cora Swafford, Millie Swafford, James Turner and Troy Turner and an uncle, Howard Huss.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Peters Methodist Church with the Rev. David Sain officiating.

The family will greet friends immediately following the service in St. Peters Methodist Church.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
