Hugh Lee Ivester, 91, passed away on Wednesday, November 06, 2024.

He was born on May 10, 1933 in Catawba County and was a son of the late John Ralph Ivester and Vernie Pruitt Ivester Wright. Hugh was a retired plant manager for Howell Man. Hugh served in the Army.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lois Blanton Ivester; three stepsons, Doug Stroup, Ronnie Stroup, and Vernon Stroup.

Hugh is survived by a stepdaughter, Renee Belcher and husband Ronnie, Kings Mountain, good friend and neighbor, Lawrence A DiBari III of Lawndale, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 3:00 PM in the Stamey Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd Swafford.

Burial will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawndale, NC.
