Irene Bingham Gamble, 91 of Stroupe Road, Lawndale, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Carolina Care Health & Rehabilitation Center, Cherryville.

Born in Cleveland County, on October 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Robert Andrew Theodore Bingham and Ethel Mae Ward Bingham. Mrs. Gamble was retired from Bike and a member of Friendly Chapel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Gamble; a brother, Willard Bingham and a sister, Vergie Helms.

Survivors include her son, Dennis Gamble of Lawndale; sister, Ellen Mull of Fallston; three grandchildren, Nichole Short and husband, Gary, Hillary Vaughn and Kelsey Vaughn; four great grandchildren, Taylor Short, Hunter Short, Tanner Vaughn and Nora McKinney.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 5, 2024 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Friendly Chapel Baptist Church.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 2:00pm at Friendly Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Norris Willis and Rev. Travis Mull officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Friendly Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
