Janice Elizabeth Morgan Cable, 79, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023 at Atrium Healthcare of Charlotte.

Born in McDowell County on March 7, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Virginia Lucile Hogan Morgan and George Reid Morgan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Charles "Bull" Eugene Morgan. Janice will be remembered for her love for family, traveling and cooking.

Janice is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph Tony Cable, two sons Joseph Todd Cable (Danna) and Jason Morgan Cable (Wendy) as well as her brother Ken Morgan (Pat). Also left to cherish her memory are her four grandchildren, Jackson Cable, Kathryn Cable, Anna Claire Gailey (Patrick) and Hunter Cable, as well as her great granddaughter, Mary Katherine Gailey.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, June 19, 2023 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Runyans officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM in Sorrells Hall prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
