Jeffrey Lee Mode, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on July 20, 2024, at the age of 61.

Born on January 30, 1963, to his late parents, Jack and Linda Mode, Jeff lived a life marked by dedication to both his family and his country.

Jeff served his country honorably as a Staff Sergeant in the Army. His military career was characterized by strength and commitment, traits he carried into all aspects of his life. Beyond his service, Jeff enjoyed sports, with a particular love for football and bull riding and a bit of fishing and hunting from time to time, but everyone knows fulfilling his duties as "Pawpaw" out-shined all that in his eyes.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 29 years, Shelia Short Mode; his sons, Matt Mode and Jon Mode; his daughters, Kathy Mode and Hollie Frederick; his step-sons, Josh Short, Brian Short, and Nathan Short; his sister, Tina Hull; his brother, Tracy Mode; and numerous grandchildren.

Jeff's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched with his kindness, dedication, and love.
