Johnnie Morgan Allen, age 80 of Ellenboro, NC, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024, at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

She is survived by her children, Johnnie Renea Hudson of Boiling Springs, NC, and Nancy LeeAnn Allen of Shelby, NC, three grandchildren, Joseph Allen Hudson of Casar, NC, Jerry Lee Hudson Jr. of Boiling Springs, NC, and Daniel Timothy Hudson of Burnswick, GA, two sisters, Ann Gossit and Mary Mayhew, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born January 11, 1944, in Cleveland County, NC, Johnnie was the daughter of the late William Forest Morgan and Worlden Susan Boon Morgan and was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Eugene Allen, two children, Forest Eugene Allen and Jason Lee Allen, a grandson, Uriel Nathaniel Hudson, and four siblings.

Johnnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family, singing in the church choir, and spending time with her family and friends. Johnnie based her whole life around her children. She always brought a smile to everyone's face and will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Johnnie was a faithful member of Sandy Run Baptist Church where she had sung in the choir.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Sandy Run Baptist Church. A visitation will be held from 2:00pm - 3:00pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
