Joyce Davis Blackwell, 89, of 195 Craton Road, passed away on Thursday, January 18th, 2024, at home.

Born in Gaffney, SC, she was the widow of JD Blackwell, and daughter of the late Mary Horn and Charlie Davis, and step-daughter to the late Ettamae Davis. Joyce loved reading, working on puzzles, and going to church. She loved her family; including her church family.

Surviving Mrs. Blackwell are three daughters, Sissy Jackson, Cathy Lyons, and Beth Judd, all of Gaffney; three sisters, Mae Buchanan, Pat Garner, Gloria Davis; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Blackwell was preceded in death by her sons, Preston, David, and Randall Blackwell; four sisters, Gayle Millen, Shirley Goode, Sue Fowler, Brenda Brown; three brothers, Joe, John, and Kenneth Davis; and granddaughter Nicole Schroyer.

The family will receive friends on Sunday January 21st, 2024, 6:30-8:30pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 22nd, 2024, at 1:00pm at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, with Rev. Tommy Wright and Rev. Gregg Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Abingdon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will be at the residence.
