Juanita L. Lattimore

Juanita L. Lattimore was born August 19, 1957, the youngest of twelve children to Ira and Odessia Leslie.

She was educated in the Cleveland County public school system and graduated from Burns Senior High School. Following her graduation from Burns Senior High School, she received her degree from Cleveland Community College where she majored in Early Childhood Development.
Known for her love for Christ she received her ordination as a minister under the leadership of the late Pastor William Moss of Praise Temple, Gastonia, NC. She truly lived out the highest form of worship of unselfish Christian service. She served the body of Christ as a reverend, trustee, Sunday school teacher, head of missionary department, summer lunch program director, and many more nameless titles. But most importantly her greatest form of praise was the sound of her consecrated feet that sought out the lost. "Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest." Matthew 9:37-38
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Walter A. Leslie and James C. Leslie, and her sister, Gracie L. Parks.
She leaves cherished memories to her daughter Alethea Hunt of Shelby, NC; sons, Antwan Hunt of Shelby, NC, Michael Hunt of Santa Fe, NM, Maurice Hunt (Claire) of Chicago, IL; a special granddaughter Omeisha Hunt of Cherryville, NC; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her siblings Marie Leslie West of Jamaica, NY, Maggie Leslie Smith, Ben R.
