Judy Kaye Houser age 86, of Vale, passed away on Monday, April 1st, 2024 at her home in Vale, NC.

Kaye was born in Lincoln Co, NC County, on April 3rd, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Ray and Madeline Brendel.
Kaye worked as a secretary for the North Carolina Public School System. Kaye will be remembered as a person who always put others first. Kaye was a lady who loved helping others. She always gave other people more than she had to give and never met a stranger.
Left to cherish the memory of this loving woman is her husband, Edward Byrl Houser; one daughter, Paige Leonhardt; brother, Phil Brendel and his wife Tammy; three grandchildren, Josh Leonhardt, Jordan Leonhardt and his wife, Jessie, and Logan Leonhardt and his partner, Brad; six great grandchildren, Lane Davis, Kensleigh, Gavin, River Leonhardt, Oakley Rattler, and Adalyn Strange
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 4th, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Hull's Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeremy Mahaffey officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 4th, 2024 , at 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm , at Hull's Grove Baptist Church .
