Karen Faye Johnson-Williams
Karen Faye Johnson-Williams, 55, of Bessemer City, NC went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. Born October 19, 1961 in Gulfport, MS, she was the daughter of the late Olan Wilson Johnson and the late Ivy Lee Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Wayne Johnson.
Karen was a devoted wife of 22 years. She was a member of the Church of God. She was a hotel desk receptionist before she became ill. She enjoyed boating with her family, taking cruise vacations, camping, reading in her spare time and watching the New Orleans Saints. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were the light of her eyes. Karen was dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed. Karen was always making friends wherever she went and she never met a stranger.
Karen is survived by her husband, Michael Dean Williams of Bessemer City, NC; her two fur babies Brese Williams and Daisy Williams, both of Bessemer City, NC; step-daughter Abbie Williams-McVoy and husband Jeremy McVoy of Gastonia, NC; step-son Michael Williams Jr of Gastonia, NC; sister Dawn Crum and husband Joseph Crum II of Kings Mountain, NC; brother Ronnie Johnson of Phoenix, AZ; grand-daughter Bailey Williams of Bessemer City, NC; Regan Williams of Bessemer City, NC; Eli Williams of Bessemer City, NC; Zeke Williams of Bessemer City, NC; Justin Crum of Homer, GA; Joe-Joe Crum of Kings Mountain, NC; and Zachary Crum of Kings Mountain, NC. Also survived by many friends and family.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place at the home of a family friend in Cherryville, NC, December 3, 2016 @ 2pm. Please bring a dish and a lawn chair. A Celebration of Life will also take place in Wiggins, MS at the Hampton Inn on December 17th, 2016. Donations will be greatly appreciated to the GoFund Me account to help with many expenses for her husband in the upcoming days.
