Keith Head

Keith Head, 68, died Sunday, June 9, 2024 at his home.

A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Floyd and Betty Byers Head. Keith retired from Bradington-Young Upholstery after more than 40 years of service. He enjoyed baseball, carpentry work, spending time with his family and being the life of the party. He loved his Lord and Savior. The family would like to thank the caregivers with hospice, Anna, Kelly and Gaye for their love and care extend, and Paola for all her support. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Ray Head. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Terri Howell Head of the home; daughters, Dana Yelton and husband Jamie of Forest City and Lori Carroll and husband Richard of Shelby; brother and his best friend, Ed Head and wife Penny of Boiling Springs; grandchildren, Misty Sigmon and husband Josh of Shelby, Jacob Head and Paola of Shelby, Vada Carroll, and Brynley Grace Yelton of Forest City; great-grandson, Nolan Sigmon; special cousin, Tammy Linder; lifelong friend, Terry Clinton; and his K-9 companions, Lighten Bug and Goggles. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Len Byers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County.
