Kevin Leroy Summey, 66, of Gastonia, NC, went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2021 at his home. He was born in Gaston County, NC, son of the late Leroy Andrew and Marie Ruff Summey and was preceded in death by his daughters, Elizabeth and Mary Summey, his brother, Michael Summey, and a sister, Rhonda Summey. Pastor Leroy was a dedicated a faithful follower of Christ. Over the years, he preached many revivals, weddings and funerals. Leroy retired from the welding industry. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and watching boxing and football. He was a wonderful provider to his family, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His love, guidance, and kindness will be missed greatly by everyone who knew Pastor Leroy.

SURVIVORS: Wife of forty-seven years: Sarah Gunter Summey, of the home

Sons: Kevin Matthew Summey, and Jeremiah Summey, both of the home

Sister: Beth Summey

Seven Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild

FUNERAL SERVICE: Sunday, July 25, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Mt. View Agape Pentecostal Church, 506 Sparrow Springs Road, Kings Mountain, NC, with Reverend Harry Davis officiating

VISITATION: Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM prior to the service at the church

INTERMENT: Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, Dallas, NC
