Lawndale - Lanny Keith Stroud, 61 of Elam Street, passed away, Thursday,
April 27, 2017 at Hospice at Wendover after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born January 24, 1956 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Emmett
and Grace Stroud. He was employed by Rock Tenn Container Corporation and
was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Karen Southard Stroud; children,
Kelly Stroud and wife, Brandy of Casar; Benjamin Stroud of Polkville, Jay
Seagle and girlfriend, Tori Horn and Sara Melton and husband, Dusty of
Fallston; four grandchildren, Dewey Stroud, Brantly Stroud, Destiny McSwain
and Sydney Melton; a brother, Larry Stroud of Shelby; two sisters, Malinda
Washburn and Sandra Stroud both of Shelby and a special nephew, Wally Wall
of Shelby.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday at New Prospect Baptist
Church.

A memorial service will be 3:00 PM on Saturday at New Prospect Baptist
Church with Pastor Chris Devine officiating.

Burial will follow in Big Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851 or to Hospice
Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
