Larry Marvin Moore, 85, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024 at VIA Health Partners (Hospice Cleveland County).

He was born in Wake County on September 28, 1938 to the late Ralph Moore and Iona Johnson Moore.

Mr. Moore proudly and courageously served our country in the United States Navy for 20 years.

He is preceded in death by his late son, Larry Moore, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Phyllis Littlefield Moore of the home; daughter Cindy Adams of Raleigh, son Gary Moore of Bradenton, Florida; stepchildren, Liza Jones and Joseph (Clay) Jones of Shelby. Larry has two surviving sisters; Betty Jo Spence and Linda Shaffer, both of Sanford, NC. Also left to cherish his memory are 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Services for Mr. Moore will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, with full military honors. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the Service.
