Larry Ray Sadler

On August 29, 2025, the world lost a truly extraordinary soul. Larry Ray Sadler passed away in
Pineville, NC at the age of 71, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength.


Born on December 9, 1953, in Gaston Co., Larry's life was a testament to the power of perseverance and
selflessness. He served his country with honor and distinction in the US Army, embodying the spirit of
dedication and bravery. As an honorable veteran, he carried the values of service and sacrifice into every facet
of his life.
Larry had an innate love for the great outdoors. Whether he was fishing by a serene lake, traveling to new
places, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature, he found joy and peace in the world around him. He could
often be found engrossed in his favorite shows like "The Walking Dead" and "The Andy Griffith Show,"
relishing in stories that captured the essence of human resilience and camaraderie or perusing Animal Plant or
National Geographic for a good nature show.
Larry was a man who cherished his family above all else. His life was enriched by the love and laughter he
shared with his wife, Fannie Brooks; daughters Lashelle White, Rashawn Brooks and fiancé Demarcus, and
Karnissha Sadler; and his grandchildren Jahkwanta Barnette, Narzayla Smith, Kaliayh Sanders, Alton Degree,
and Marlon Brooks-Harbison. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Taeshaun Brooks-Hill and
Julian Miller, who brought immense joy to his heart. Larry's home was always open to his surviving brothers,
Tony Sadler and wife Mary, and Jerry Sadler and wife Rita, as well as his cousin, Starlene Barnwell, and
numerous nieces and nephews. His friendship with Jerry Coleman was a source of strength and support
throughout his life.
Larry was a man of deep faith, attending the Salvation Army Church in Shelby, NC, where he found
community and spiritual fulfillment. His generous spirit and thoughtfulness were evident in all his interactions,
as he consistently put others before himself.
Preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Sadler, and his sister, Luvorn Sadler, Larry is now
reunited with them in eternal peace.
Larry will be remembered for his loving, kind, and protective nature. His legacy of generosity and
perseverance continues to inspire all who knew him. Though he may have left this world, his spirit lives on in
the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Rest in peace, Larry Ray Sadler. Your journey touched countless lives, and your memory will forever be
cherished.
