LaToya Cornick Walker, age 40, departed this life on June 18, 2024.

The daughter of Trina Ross and the late Marcus Ross (stepfather), she was born on September 17, 1983 in Cleveland County, NC.
LaToya was a joyful person who got along with others and loved everyone. She was employed with Terrabella Senior Living facility in Shelby, NC, for more than 10 years helping patients. She attended Shelby High School and was currently taking online courses to obtain her GED.
Latoya enjoyed tending to her garden, spending time with her four dogs, dancing and making people laugh. She cared for her family a great deal and this was her main priority.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Willie Mae Walker and grandparents, Nathaniel and Mary Campbell; great grandmother, Bulena Walker; uncle, Kevin Walker and nephew, Asuntii Walker.
She leaves to cherish her memories her mother; Trina Ross; daughter, La'TaviaWalker; sisters, Shanee Bussey (George) and Kimberly Walker; Carpella Ross (Walter) (sister/aunt); special uncle, Edward Walker (Michelle)and a host of other siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 3:30 pm at Changer's Church.
