Leslie Howard Hudson, 73, also known as Les, of Shelby, NC was born September 17, 1950, to the late Willie and Willette Durham.

He transitioned from this earthly life o August 13, 2024, at Wendover Hospice, Shelby, NC.
Le served as a US Marine during Vietnam era and worked as an Inventory Clerk. Later in life he became an over the road truck driver for 25 years. After he retired, Les worked various part time jobs before becoming ill.
Les had a love for music, watching wrestling, and restoring his 1979 Lincoln Continental. Most of all he loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Willette Durham; stepson, Dewayne Ellis; brother, Vernon Hudson; and father in law, Thomas Herring, Sr.
Left to cherish his fond memories are his wife of 17 years, Lesa Herring Hudson; son, Leslie Hudson, Jr. (Lisa), and daughter, Novella Kaurouma; brother, Melvin Durham (Diane); sister, Beverly Hudson; mother in law, Lillian Herring; brothers in law, Thomas Herring (Margaret), Steve Herring (Donya), and Micheal Herring (Kimora); grandchildren, Rodney, Khayire, Mariam, Madison, Stephan, and Laila; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Shiloh Baptist Church, Shelby, NC, at 11:30 a.m.
