RUTHERFORDTON- Lewis "Luke" Wallace, Sr., 76, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Fair Haven Home of Bostic. He was born March 18, 1941, son of the late Guy and Effie Smith Wallace. Luke was a member of Gantt's Grove Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: Luke was also preceded in death by his wife of 54 years until her death last year, Janette Wright Wallace; five sisters, Mary W. Medford, Una W. Brackett, Christine W. Hughes, Dorothy W. Osborne, Betty W. Linder; one brother, Wyman Wallace.

SURVIVORS: Luke is survived by one son, Lewis Edward Wallace, Jr. and wife Greta Wallace of Harris, NC; one daughter, Ann Lane and husband Rev. Robert Lane of Mooresboro, NC; two brothers, David Wallace and wife Joyce of Shiloh, NC, John Wallace and wife Sandra of Rutherfordton, NC; two grandchildren, Robert "Trey" Lane, III and wife Kristi of Gilkey, NC, Katie Lane McGinnis and husband Paul of Sunshine, NC; two great grandchildren, JuliAnna and LilliOnna Lane.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 5, 2017, 6:00 pm, at Gantts Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church

CLERGY: Rev Robert Lane and Rev. Kenneth Linder will officiate.

INTERMENT: Church Cemetery
