Liborio "Lee" John Alfano, 72, of Ross Drive, Lawndale passed away on February 3, 2025 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

Lee was born on December 16, 1952 in New Haven, CT to the late Peter and Charlotte Freitag Alfano. He was retired with 42 years of service with the Federal Bureau of Investigation as fleet manager, serving in New Haven, CT, Anchorage, Alaska and Quantico, VA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant twin sons; two brothers, Peter Alfano and Robert Alfano and niece, Renee Alfano-Kostenko, MD.

Lee is survived by his wife of 18 years, Margaret Arbaugh Alfano; his children, Bryan Alfano and wife, Catherine of Connecticut, Kimberlee Drago (Marty Drago) of Connecticut and Timothy Alfano of Shelby; four grandchildren, Layla, Ethan, Stella and Scarlett; mother of his children, Susan Alfano of Florida; two sisters-in-law, Sue Alfano and Patti Alfano and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 12:00pm Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Wade Dellinger officiating.

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice at Wendover, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby NC 28150.
