Lilliam Bott was the daughter of George Anderson Spangler and Lura Wright Spangler.

She was a graduate of Fallston High School and Gardner-Webb College.

After college she worked for Hudson Hosiery as the secretary to the plant manager in Shelby. Lillian then worked as Register of Deeds for Cleveland County Commissioners. In the 1960's she went to work at First National Bank in the bookkeeping department. Finally retiring from First Union as a Loan Officer.

Lillian was a life long member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she loved to attend Bible studies, and served as tenure as church Librarian.

Lillian loved cooking for her family and she traveled extensively through more than 45 states during her lifetime. She also traveled through Canada and Mexico. She loved people and smiled all the time and was a dedicated, loyal, and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and great aunt and she will be missed tremendously by her family.

Lillian was married to the late Lawson Botts for 65 years and had one sister, the late Lounez Spangler White.

Mrs. Botts is survived by her daughters, Brenda Botts Abercrombie, Myra Botts Willis (Bill Willis); grandson, Terry Franklin Abercrombie, Jr.; granddaughter, Ashley Botts Willis (Kate Bridges); great-grandson, Haydn Abercrombie; nephew, Johnny White (Karin White); great-nephews, Andy White, J.T. White and Adam White; step great-nephews, Elliot Carey and Peter Carey; as well as special cousin, Linda Rudasill (Kerry Rudasill); and all her other special cousins plus her friend, Ruby Hoyle.

A special thanks to Cindy Cook, registered nurse and the other nurses with Hospice care.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, January 25th, 2025 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Toby Bird officiating. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes before the service.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends after the graveside service.
