Lillie Inez Hawkins Murray Bowles, 83, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on February 18, 2024 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain, NC.

She was born in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late Clarence Henry and Estell Owens Hawkins and was preceded in death by her husband, Avery Murray and her sister, Dot Teseniar. Inez worked in the healthcare industry most of her life and retired from Summit Place in Kings Mountain as a CNA II. She attended Cornerstone and Grover Church of God. After her retirement, Inez enjoyed caring for children and loved babysitting her grandchildren. She possessed a generous and loving heart. Inez was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved her.

SURVIVORS: Children: Regina Douglas and husband Richard, Kings Mountain, NC, and Donald Avery Murray, Morganton, NC

Grandchildren: Christie Douglas, Tori Scott (Kyle), Maddison Suggs (Daniel), Ashlee Kay (Andrew), Zachary Murray, and Nico Murray

FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Pastor Josh Bennett, Brother Richard Douglas, and Pastor Ron Hawkins officiating

VISITATION: Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
