Ms. Lisa Michelle Hopper 55, of Shelby, NC, transitioned peacefully on Sunday, March 31, 2024. Lisa was born December 29, 1968, at Atrium Health Cleveland to Virginia Whittenburg and Calvin Beam.

Lisa was a fierce, strong loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and cousin that cared deeply for everyone, family and friends alike. From late night talks with her mother and sister to being a proud "Maw Maw".

Lisa loved sending you a funny video. She had a great sense of humor, and always made you laugh. She was also what you would call a Renaissance Woman. She had many talents that she shared with everyone. Lisa could do everything from cooking meals from scratch to crocheting, sewing, cutting hair, she could even give you a bible verse for whatever your soul needed. She was the epitome of love, light, kinship and friendship.

Lisa is preceded in death by her son Charles Syrus Perry; her father, Calvin Beam, grandparents Cofford and Elizibeth Hopper: Lewis and Dorothy Beam; brother Patrick Hopper, and nephew, Brandon Williams.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories to her son Travis Thompson; grandchildren, Jaz'mir Thompson, Ozias Thompson, Bryson Thompson, Nevaeh Burris, Tajmarion Burris; her mother Virginia Whittenburg and step father Richard Whittenburg; sisters, Leslie Burns; Tonya Muhammad; brothers, Keith Burnette, Calvin Burnette; nephews Phillip Williams; Justin Hopper; Joshua Hopper and her niece Jessica Williams; special friend Charles Perry; aunts, uncles and a host of family and friends.
