Mrs. Lucille Byrd Petty, 87 was born on August 24, 1933 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Fred and Louise Blair Byrd. She departed this life for her eternal home on November 6, 2020 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Petty and a brother, Pete Byrd.

She is survived by three children, Lucilla Williams of TX and Vanessa Gentry and Eddie Petty both of Winston-Salem, NC; three sisters, Martha Shade and Annie Goforth both of Kingstown, NC and Jeanette Grimes of Hickory, NC; one brother, Frank Byrd also of Hickory; a special niece, Malinda Amanda Shade and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM at S. T. Enloe Memorial Chapel. Condolences can be expressed online at www.enloemortuary.com. Enloe Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
