Marcelette Rollins

Ms. Marcelette Rollins, of 706 South Pink Street, Cherryville, NC, was the daughter of the late Cooper J. Rollins Sr. and Margaret Johnson Rollins.


She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, NC, where she ushered, worked in the kitchen, made announcements, and sent out cards to the members.
Ms. Rollins was a 1972 graduate of Cherryville High School and Massey Junior College in Atlanta, Ga. She was an outstanding basketball player.
Ms. Rollins retired from Timken Corporation and after retiring, she became the care giver for Dr. Bill Allen until he passed away. She then became the care giver for Mrs. Mary Jackson until she passed away.
Marcelette was a lover and a big fan of the Green Bay Packers since she was young. She loved watching cartoons, loved model cars, and magnets.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Cooper J. Rollins Jr. and a sister Dolleta Howell.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories are her daughter, Arnetra Rollins of Gastonia, NC and grandson, Robert McMillion--El II and a grand dog, Cotton of Gastonia, NC; one brother, Mr. Douglas Rollins of Cherryville, NC; sisters, Rita Pearson of Enoree, SC, and Alonia Charita (James) Howell of Waco, NC; aunts, Marva J. Rhyne of Lincolnton, NC and Frances H. Johnson of Fort Washington, MD; a special nephew, Norman Pearson of Greenville, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
