Marcelle "Marcie" Carpenter McClure, age 74, of Kings Mountain, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024, at her residence.
She was born April 3, 1950, in Lincoln County to the late Edwin Yates and Mozelle George Carpenter.
Marcie enjoyed listening to her granddaughter play the saxophone. She also loved spending time with her grand dog Roscoe. Marcie was an avid TV watcher and would also spend many hours on long phone conversations.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Michael Fred McClure.
Survivors include her son, Michael McClure (Gretchen) of Lincolnton; sister, Teresa Kay Carpenter Wadell (Daniel) of Belmont; granddaughter, Bailey Olivia Mclure; three nieces, and two nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Carpenter-Porter Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Richard Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
