Margie Brackett Price, 85, left her earthly life on Tuesday, March 17, 2025. She was born October 23, 1939 in Cleveland County and was the daughter of the late Roy Brackett and Hettie Queen Brackett. She graduated from Casar High School in 1958 and Cosmetology School in 1959. She retired from Cleveland County School Food Service in 1999 and as a cake decorator at Ingles in 2007. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, Casar, NC.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Lula Mae McNeilly and husband Paul; and brothers, Billy, Talmadge, and Garland, Cecil, and Phillip Brackett.

She leaves her cherished fond memories to her two daughters, Amy Lee Cantrell and husband Tom, of Rutherfordton and Pamela Ann Mitchem and husband Gary of Boone; grandchildren, Bruce McCurry and his wife Cynthia, Jason McCurry and Madeline Mitchem; great grandchildren, Tyler McCurry, and his wife Maritza, and Isaiah McCurry; great grand children, Kameron and Koa McCurry; sister-in-law, Mildred Brackett and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service to celebrate and remember the life of Margie will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Casar United Methodist Cemetery with the Rev. Norris Willis officiating.
