Ms. Margie L. Tuft, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born on April 14, 1941, in Cleveland County to the late Willie and Essie Tuft.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Essie Tuft Simon, Beatrice Tuft, and Fannie Ruth Tuft Goshey.

Ms. Tuft is survived by her daughter, Lisa Ann Tuft (David) of the home; brother, Willie B. Tuft of Shelby, NC; sister, Annie Mae Parks of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Daysia Tuft-Black and David Black, Jr. of Shelby, NC; special friend, Sherry Petty of Shelby, NC; and a host of relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Good Samaritan Baptist Church. Burial took place at Sunset Cemetery.
