Maribeth McDaniel, 81, of Shelby, NC, formerly of Jonesboro, AR, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023.

She was born in Cherry Valley, AR, April 26, 1942, to the late John and Essie Elizabeth Stacy.

Maribeth was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved laughing, doing woodwork, and finding new recipes and trying them out. She was a Christian of the Baptist faith. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, E. David Havner.

Maribeth is survived by her children: Melissa Tubbs of Shelby, NC, Michael Hubbard and wife, Connie of Waxahachie, TX, Lorri Bridges and husband, Vance of Shelby, NC, and Danny Baker and wife, Rebecca of Ash Flat, AR; her sister, Nancy Havner of Rock Spring, GA; her brother, James (Buddy) Stacy and wife, Elizabeth Lynn, of Harrisburg, AR; and nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all of the nurses of Hospice and the Nurses and Caregivers at Somerset Court who took such good care of her going above and beyond.

On Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 2:00 pm, there will be food and fellowship, and at 3:00pm, a time set apart to celebrate and reflect on Maribeth's life. This will be at her brother, Buddy's home, in Harrisburg, AR. If you need directions, please call her daughters at 704-418-3799 or 704-834-0990.
