Marion Jackie Lanier, 69, of Margrace Road, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

Jackie was born on August 26, 1954 in Cleveland County, NC a son of the late Luther Amos "Jack" Lanier and Thelma Styers Lanier. He worked in construction.

Survivors include his son, Michael Lanier; a grandson, Kevin Lanier; a brother Paul Lanier all of Kings Mountain and a sister, Wanda Wells.

The family will receive friends from 12:45PM to 1:45PM on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Ramsey officiating.

Burial will follow the service at City Memorial Cemetery in Cherryville.
