Marjorie Hoyle Goins Greene received her heavenly wings on Friday March 4, 2022 at the age of 94.

Born in Cleveland County on July 6, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Pinkney and Flavia Costner Hoyle, of Shelby. She was preceded in death by her two former husbands, James L. Goins and James (Nick) Greene, grandson Rodney Goins, sister's Ruth Randle and Montrose Replinski, two brothers R P Hoyle and Billy Hoyle. She retired from Reliance Electric in 1998 and then again in 2012 as a people greeter at Walmart.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Ronnie Goins (Betty), of Lincolnton, two daughters, Debbie Sumpter (Dale), and Sheila Bess (Tony) of Shelby, three stepsons, Joe Greene (Angela) of Shelby, John Greene (Cathy) of TN, Jeff Greene (Judy) of Gaffney, two stepdaughters, Belinda Martinez (Caesar) of Concord, and Lori Hester (Richard) of Cornelius. She had 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren, 16 step-great-grandchildren and 3 step-great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Martha Hamrick (James), of Shelby and Lois Smith of Charlotte, along with a host of nieces and nephews. She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.

A Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Cleveland Memorial Park with Pastor Rich Lancaster officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
