Mark Steven Yates, 63, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on October 09, 2024 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

He was born in Camden County, NJ, son of the late James A. Yates and Dorothy Barber Yates. Mark worked many years managing restaurants and was currently the assistant Golf Pro at Woodbridge Golf Course. This position enabled Mark to fulfill his love for golfing by playing everyday. He was an avid music lover, often attending a concert every week. Mark was a talented guitar player and loved rock and roll music. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment. Of all the things Mark loved, his family was always his first love. He was a wonderful husband and loving father whose understanding, guidance, and love will live on in the lives of his family for all time.
