Marlie Dean Lail Warlick, 93, of Lawndale passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at her home.

She was born on November 1, 1931 in Catawba County and was a daughter of the late Marley McCoy Lail and Hazel Elmore Lail. She had formerly been employed with Lutz Yelton Oil Company, Doran Mills, Dr Barrier Medical Office, Senior Center, and finally spending many years as a substitute teacher for Cleveland County Schools. She was a member of Carpenters Grove Baptist Church and a charter member of the Casar Easter Star Chapter 342.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, Yates Kenneth Warlick, Sr., stepmother, Virginia Lail; two brothers, Keith Lail and Tim Lail; and two sisters, Jewel Luckadoo and Marjorie Newton.

She is survived by son, Kenny Warlick and wife Monda of Lawndale; daughter, Pam Grant of Lawndale; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 18, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Carpenters Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Joey Hamrick and Rev. Chris Devine officiating.

Burial will follow at church cemetery in Lawndale, NC.
