Martha Elizabeth Hoyle Hamrick, 92, passed away, March 4, 2024 at Atrium Health in Shelby, NC. Born in Cleveland County on April 25, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Pinkney Hoyle and Flavia Olivia Costner Hoyle.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Dillard Hamrick, son Jimmy Hamrick, brothers R.P. Hoyle, Billy Hoyle, sisters, Montrose Replinski, Margorie Greene and Ruth Randle.

Martha dedicated over fifty years to Elizabeth Baptist Church, finding joy in her active involvement in the Love Sunday school class. Her legacy will be rooted in her passion for flowers, skillful cultivation of stunning arrangements, and the preservation of homegrown vegetables through canning and freezing, bringing comfort to both her family and others. A genuine homemaker, Martha delighted in hosting gatherings, cooking and creating cherished moments with her loved ones.

Martha is survived by her son Michael S. Hamrick (Patty) and daughter Diann H. Noggle (Larry). She is also survived by her grandchildren and their spouses: Brian Hamrick, Angie Mauney, Traci Proctor, Jason Hamrick, Leslie Noggle, Matthew Noggle. Also left to cherish her memory are her ten great-grandchildren and sister Lois Smith.

The family will receive friends Wednesday March 13, 2024 from 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM in the Mausoleum of Rose Hill Cemetery with a graveside service immediately following at 3:00PM. Rev. Rit Varriale will offer words of encouragement for those in attendance.
