Mrs. Mary Brooks Barnett, 94, died Sunday, January 19, at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center.

A native of Jackson, County, GA., she was the daughter of the late L.J. and Nora Mae Phillips Brooks. She was retired from FASCO and was of the baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Barnett; a son, Charles "Pee-Wee" Barnett Jr.; three brothers, Paul Brooks, Curtis Brooks and Lonnie Brooks, Jr.; and two sisters, Blondine Brooks Poston and Lottie Brooks Phillips.

She is survived by nieces, Linda Brooks Moore of Shelby and Paula Brooks Knisley of Knoxville, TN; one nephew, Ed Phillips of Shelby.

The family would like to thank the special staff at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center for their wonderful care and friendship during Mary's stay.

Mary never liked being the center of attention and per her wishes there will be no services. Memorials may be made in her honor to an organization of your choice.
