Mary Elizabeth (Libby) Davis Zaludek passed away at her home on February 3, 2025, at age 42.

She was born in Shelby on January 28, 1983. Libby was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Floyd and Lois Hambright and her paternal grandparents F. DeLane Davis and Mary Lou Warlick Davis.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, F. DeLane (Chip) Davis and Debbie Hambright Davis. and her sons, Jax and Max Zaludek. She also leaves behind a brother, Joey Fite (Rudy), aunt, Rita Hamm (Carl), cousins Allyson Morris (Chris), and Eric Hamm (Candice), aunt, Cindy Boyer (Craig), cousins Madison Lenamon (Parker), Paxton Boyer (Ashleigh) as well as many other great aunts, cousins, other family members and special lifelong friends. Libby was a member of First Baptist Church of Shelby NC. She graduated from Shelby High School in the class of 2001 and went on to pursue a degree in cosmetology at Isothermal College. Libby was an accomplished and successful cosmetologist at Salon Palazzo and enjoyed her customers and the relationships she maintained with them.

Libby cherished her family above all else. She loved her boys, her parents, her grandparents and was a beloved granddaughter and daughter. She valued her relationships with her family as well as her many friends. Libby loved to meet people and never met a stranger. She had a special place in her heart for animals and supported organizations that assisted in helping animals find a forever home. Libby possessed a love for people and highly regarded the people in her life. Her light, laughter, and love will remain in our hearts always.

A receiving of friends will be held at First Baptist Church of Shelby Sanctuary on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 3:00 PM, in the First Baptist Church of Shelby Sanctuary with the Rev. Asher Panton officiating.

The family appreciates your prayers, visits, and calls. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Clifford's Army Rescue Extravaganza (CARE) or First Baptist Church of Shelby NC.
