Merryl Whisnant Anthony, age 98, of Lincolnton, passed away on Sunday, July 7th, 2024 at The Greens in Lincolnton.

Merryl was born in Cherryville, North Carolina, on August 18th, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Plato and Sue Whisnant. Merryl was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Anthony, of 42 years. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Carol and William Whisnant and one daughter-in-law, Janice Anthony.

Merryl is survived by her two sons, Chuck Anthony and David Anthony and his wife, Debbie; four grandchildren, Christine Gaus, Gideon Anthony, Corrie Jenkins, and Eli Anthony and five great grandchildren, Jude and Kara Anthony, Gavin, Grace, and Greta Jenkins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date by the family to celebrate the life of Merryl.
