Michael "Mike" Gene Davis, 62 of Lawndale, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023 at his residence.

Born in Mecklenburg County, NC on November 13, 1960, he was the son of Shirley Flowers Davis and the late Albert Gene Davis. He was employed by Shelby Hardware. Mike was a servant for the kingdom and an active member in the Mens Ministry at Eastside Baptist Church, Shelby. He loved helping anyone he could. Above all, he loved everyone and showed it daily in his actions, words and deeds.

Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Amanda Garrett Davis; two daughters, Cheyenne Steel of Catawba and Amber Davis of Mooresville; bonus daughter, Rebecca Fowler of Bessemer City; brother, Todd Davis of Mooresville; grandchildren, Kinsley Davis, Ally Steel and one future grandbaby on the way and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Virginia Sigmon of Maiden.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 1:30 pm at Eastside Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Byrd and Rev. Bob Evans officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scholarship Fund for his grandchildren at Hometrust Bank, 224 E. Warren Street, Shelby, NC 28150.
