Mildred Roper Shytle, age 83 resident of Kings Mountain, NC. The Lord welcomed her home on November 30, 2016. She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late William Ivy Roper and Mamie King Roper. She was also preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters. Mildred was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who enjoyed cooking and traveling the world over with her beloved husband. She was a homemaker and member of the Eastern Star and former president of the White Plains Shrinettes. Mildred was a devoted Christian Wesleyan Methodist who cherished her faith. She was one of eleven siblings and family meant everything to her. She served her country as a military wife alongside her husband who served in the United States Air Force. She was a confident, classy and grateful lady who embraced everyone as family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the Summit Place, Kings Mtn. NC and The Community Homecare and Hospice, Charlotte, NC for their kind and professional care.

Brothers: Donald Roper and Michael Roper, both of Kings Mtn. NC

Sister: Margaret Payne, Kings Mtn. NC

5 Grandchildren: Holly, Rick, Morgan, Travis, and Mikey.

7 Great Grandchildren.
